Description
The patterns created by the kerf can be viewed as a continuous and slender geometric shape that follows a specific angle as it twists and turns inward and outward. Due to this twisting motion, this pattern enables both localized (within smaller sections) and overall (across larger sections) flexibility in rigid materials. The example of kerf shape is shown as blow.
Design
By employing the kerf template like the left image below and Fusion 360, we can link numerous square kerfs.
Result
After we print it with a 3D printer, we have the bendable hinge of the kerf.
